First identify Type D

Micro HDMI Type D is a small video socket used on certain camera and handheld devices. It is not the same as Mini HDMI Type C or USB-C. MOSHOU's cable runs from a Micro HDMI Type D source to a standard HDMI Type A display or compatible capture input.

Why a 2.4mm coaxial lead helps a camera rig

Slim and flexible cabling is useful around camera cages, articulated field monitors and gimbal arms. The MOSHOU cable body is approximately 2.4mm thick. Route it with gentle curves and provide strain relief because a small Micro HDMI socket is not designed to hold the weight of a hanging monitor or cable bundle.

Understand the 48Gbps headline

The cable product lists up to 48Gbps with display modes including 8K60 and 4K120 when all equipment supports them. Actual picture output is limited by the camera or other source, display or capture device, chosen output mode and cable routing. A cable cannot make an incompatible camera output 8K.

Measure the installed distance

Lengths on the MOSHOU page are 0.25m, 0.5m, 1m, 1.5m and 2m. For a rig-mounted monitor, measure the routed path from camera body to display, with allowance for moving joints. Too much slack can snag; too little puts mechanical stress on the small connector.

Step-by-step connection

Check that the camera video output is a Micro HDMI Type D socket. Connect the Type D plug to the source and the Type A plug to a matching monitor or recorder input. Select the display's HDMI input, set a mutually supported output format and test a stable picture before moving the camera.

What to do when the monitor shows no signal

Confirm the camera has video output enabled, then try a standard output resolution and refresh rate. Inspect both connectors for incomplete insertion, cable tension or sharp bends. If a capture card is used, check its accepted signal format. Verify the combination with a known-good cable before replacing hardware.
