Titanium Toslink Optical Cable: Connect a Soundbar and Choose PCM or 5.1

Make sure both devices use Toslink
MOSHOU's G-001 titanium-alloy cable has standard square Toslink male ends. Use it between a compatible television's digital optical audio output and a soundbar or AV receiver's optical input. It is not for Mini-Toslink 3.5mm, RCA coaxial, analog AUX or HDMI connections.

What the titanium and braided construction changes
The product combines titanium-alloy connector housings, polished optical fiber tips and a braided protective jacket. This is a physical construction difference, not a new digital audio format. Its optical light-based signal path reduces susceptibility to ordinary electromagnetic interference.

Stereo PCM or compressed surround?
Standard optical S/PDIF can carry stereo PCM and compatible compressed formats such as Dolby Digital and DTS. Actual 5.1 playback requires a compatible output format, media and receiver. It does not provide HDMI-only lossless formats including Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD Master Audio.

Correct setup for TV and soundbar
Reduce the volume, remove both little protective caps and insert the square connectors gently without forcing them. Choose Optical or Digital Audio in the TV's output settings, select the matching soundbar input and begin with stereo PCM if unsure. Use compatible encoded audio settings only when the receiver supports them.

Choose a length without tight bends
MOSHOU lists lengths from 0.5m to 20m: 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 12, 15 and 20m. Measure the real route around a cabinet rather than just the gap between sockets; allow gentle curves to protect optical fibers from kinks.

No sound? Check the format before buying again
Confirm the TV uses optical output and the soundbar uses optical input. Verify the caps are off, connectors fully seated and the receiving input selected. Try stereo PCM first; if that plays but 5.1 does not, check the codec output and passthrough choices on the source.

Physical care and signal limitations
Do not fold an optical cable sharply or crush it behind a TV. A braided jacket improves handling but is not proof of unbreakable fiber. Keep connectors clean and put caps back on while storing the cable. Optical Toslink carries digital audio, not pictures.
