A 13cm USB4 Keychain Cable for SSDs, ProRes Workflows and Travel
What this cable offers
EnergyFort's 13cm USB-C to USB-C keychain cable combines a removable connector holder and clip ring with listed maximum capabilities of 240W charging, 40Gbps data and 8K60 video. Each specification describes a different capability, not a promise that every connected device reaches it.
External SSD use
Before connecting an SSD, verify the laptop USB-C port, enclosure and drive can negotiate the intended data mode. A 40Gbps-rated cable will not increase a 10Gbps enclosure's speed. Keep the drive supported next to the laptop rather than suspended from the port.
Recording ProRes to storage
For supported iPhone ProRes workflows, verify the exact phone model, external recording mode, SSD format, sustained write speed and power requirements. A physically matching USB-C cable alone does not establish that the full recording setup will work.
Short cable handling
The compact 13cm length suits a phone and power bank placed very close together. Account for case thickness and port placement; never let a heavy power bank or SSD pull on the cable.
Video and charging checks
The listing's 8K60 video and 240W charging ratings both require suitable devices and adapters. Charging power is negotiated; maximum data throughput and display output are separate requirements.
Carry and care
Return both unplugged connectors to the holder for storage, inspect the cable for fraying or twisting and keep connector contacts free of dust and moisture. Black, White and Yellow are color options, not speed tiers.
